Directeur beloont leerlingen met pizza
Gisteren werden de leerlingen die deelnamen aan het VEX Robotica kampioenschap, beloond met pizza. De leerlingen namen op zondag 5 maart in drie teams deel aan de robotwedstrijd in Technopolis na een maandenlange voorbereiding door STEM-leerkracht An Vlummens, op schoolmiddagen, woensdagnamiddagen en als het moest zelfs tijdens vakantiedagen.

“Onze leerlingen kregen een jaar tijd om een robot te bedenken, te ontwerpen en te programmeren die de uitdaging aankan”, vertelt Vlummens.
“Het ontwerpen en bouwen van een robot heeft niet alleen te maken met technologie, wiskunde en programmeervaardigheden. Deelnemen biedt leerlingen een geweldige kans om belangrijke levensvaardigheden op te doen.”
De leerlingen sleepten een Judges Award in de wacht. Om hen te belonen, trakteerde de directie hen op pizza. “We kunnen stilaan uitkijken naar een nieuw seizoen. De eerste plannen voor het inzamelen van het benodigde deelnamegeld, zijn al gesmeed.”
